Last weekend I got lost in the beautiful U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C.. I, of course, got lost on purpose and wondered into this beautiful place, yet again. Yes, I have been to the botanic garden so many times now, but I can’t help it! There is always something new; something beautiful to see; a new corner to explore.
The botanic garden is located in the North East area of Washington, D.C., at the bottom of the hill to be exact. The botanic garden can be traced back to 1816. The idea was for there to be a place where plants from the U.S. and other countries could be grown and contribute to the welfare of the citizens of this country. Admission to the botanic garden is free; I have included a link above to their website, where you can find information such as: hours of operation, the address, cool pictures and facts, as well as links.
I have visited the site at different times in the day and my suggestion is, go early morning before the big crowds make their way here. Remember, this place is located on the strip where other Smithsonian museums are located and crowds will wonder here.
Check out these pics. I always feel like I am walking through flowerland when here. 💐🌸🌺
