Yesterday I spent a couple of hours walking around and tasting some of the best food in D.C. at the Taste of Georgetown. Although it was pouring rain, this did not hamper this event.
The Taste of Georgetown is an epicurean festival which offers creative tastes from some of the best restaurants in the Washington D.C. area. The festival took place from 11 am to 4 pm and it’s always a family friendly event. It not only offers food, wine and beers, but also has a live band, is pet friendly and family friendly.
The best thing from this event for me, besides the food, was that it was under a bridge, shielding me from the rain! I also was fascinated by the eating contests and people playing giant jenga! There were a lot of freebies too. I received a really cool bag from the Infinity tent and a very useful poncho from the State Farm Insurance tent! My friend and photographer, received a water bottle, a super cute bag and entered a raffle to win a $300 dollar gift card from PNC bank.
Why should you attend next year? Well, besides being a fun event and socializing with other foodies, this event benefits the Georgetown Ministries Center and supports the homeless. So your money spent here is for a good cause.
Here are some pictures captured at the event! Hope to see you there next year and enjoy some delicious food with you.
